What We Do

Training

Training sessions at our floodlit Mill Lane track take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm for juniors, and from 8pm to 9pm for seniors.

The boys and girls who train each week (the minimum age is 9) are coached by qualified and vetted coaching staff, some of whom are parents whose children train at the club. They are also encouraged to take part in local competitions such as the National Young Athletes' League (NYAL) and Lily B (girls only), which run from late spring into summer and offer an enjoyable, low-key introduction to the world of athletics.

Cross-country

The cross-country season runs from October to March. Our men's and women's teams compete in the lower divisions of the Surrey cross-country leagues where there is always lots of room for the slower and older runner to take part and enjoy a good run. There are also junior races over shorter distances at all these fixtures. In addition, there are cross-country leagues aimed at juniors, such as the Downs League.

Distance running

If you are an adult interested in distance running, whether road or multi-terrain, our sister club, Oxted Runners, organises regular Tuesday night road runs during the winter and Tuesday evening runs in the countryside through the summer. Click here for more information.
